Your Taco Met Its Match: Cocktails – Part One

It’s no secret that we love tacos. With all the topping combinations for those picky eaters, it’s hard to find someone who doesn’t love tacos. It’s easy to love them on their own but just like peanut butter and jelly, tacos need a partner too. We will always love an icy Corona and lime, but during the hotter months we prefer to elevate our tasty tacos with cool cocktails. But how do you know what cocktail pairs best with tacos? In celebration of #ASalsaritasSummer and our love for tacos, we’re so excited to share four specialty cocktail recipes from an award-winning mixologist and which Salsarita’s tacos they pair perfectly with.

Rachael Blake of The Cavalier Hotel

We got together with Rachael Blake, a Beverage Specialist and Bartender at the newly restored Cavalier Hotel in Virginia Beach – a member of the prestigious Autograph Collection by Marriott Hotels. As Beverage Specialist, Rachael is always coming up with luxurious five-star drinks to woo the guests in one of many bars. Luckily for us, she gave us the scoop on different cocktails you can create at home to compliment your Salsarita’s taco experience. In Part One, we are sharing two cocktails and taco pairings.

If you decide to make these at home, we’d love to see them!

Be sure to tag us with #ASalsaritasSummer – Check back next week for Part Two including a cocktail with edible flowers! Follow Rachael on Instagram (@rachael_lynne_) for her amazing paintings, adorable dog, and of course her insane cocktails.
